Just saw the movie. Your review was spot on. Everybody was nice and honorable. Apart from that – nothing we haven’t seen before. Still, for us submarine-film enthusiasts “Battle under the Orion” is not an evening entirely wasted.

Didn’t like the movie at all. It was like for brainless people. The main character was a huge jerk and the women seem too desperate, and let him walk all over them :/ Terrible

The best film of 2010 for me, gripping, well acted and up there with the intensity of the best films of Park Chan Wook. Tetsuya Nakashima is a director who is rapidly becoming one of my favourites. Unlike Memories of Matsuko, this is free from any comedic elements and is pretty much pure tragedy.
One of those rare films that make you want to immediately watch it again, after you have recovered.

This film is a riveting melodrama that delivers its punches in a one,two,three succession that keeps the viewer in a constant state of panic of what will come next for the characters. This is brilliant film making at its finest.

Great movie, no doubts about that – it was recommended by one of my friends and after I watched it (seeing before it the awful Green Hornet) and it was a brilliant showcasing of good acting, interesting story (reminds me of Man on fire rather than Leon), beautifully choreographed fighting and action scenes – what more a fan of these movie could want
