Writing mangas isn’t only fun and games, but also a line of work that real people have to deal with in everyday life: GEGEGE NO NYOBO is based on Nunoe Mura’s 2008 autobiography and focuses on her relationship with manga artists Mizuki Shigeru (of GEGEGE NO KITARO fame), mostly before he became successful. The NHK production is due for release in summer and directed by Takuji Suzuki.

nice blog. 🙂 i’m crazy about japanese movies too… too bad i understand very little nihongo. watching “gegege no nyobo” is fun, though, even without subtitles. now i have to be awake every morning to catch it. the lead actress kinda looks like kou shibasaki, i think.

Thanks! Subs really come in handy for all us non-J-natives 🙂 Still wouldn’t want to miss many movies though.
